Information we process

We process account details such as your email address and profile name; the files and text you choose to import; generated audio, playback position, bookmarks, and app preferences; purchase and entitlement status; and limited technical logs needed for security and reliability.

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, keep your library private, generate and deliver audio, sync progress, provide offline access, process subscriptions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and improve Rill. We do not sell personal information or use imported books to train public models.

Service providers

Rill uses Supabase for authentication, database, and private storage; RevenueCat and Apple or Google for purchase processing; and infrastructure operated for Rill to parse files and generate audio. Each provider processes only the information needed for its role.

Storage and retention

Imported source files and generated audio remain associated with your account so you can replay them. You can remove individual books in Rill. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify account data and schedule source and generated files for removal, except records we must retain for legal, fraud-prevention, or accounting duties.

Your choices

You can access and update core account information in the app, restore purchases through the platform store, remove books, and request account deletion. Device and store settings control analytics, notifications, and subscription management.

Security and children

We use encrypted transport, access controls, signed links, and private storage. No system is perfectly secure. Rill is not directed to children under 13, and users must have the right to access every file they import.

International processing and changes

Information may be processed where Rill and its service providers operate. We may update this policy as the product or law changes and will post the revised date here. Material changes will be communicated where required.
